Regional natural park Corbieres fenouilledes
A Regional Natural Park (PNR) is an inhabited rural area:
It is nationally recognized for the richness of its natural and cultural heritage and its landscapes. However, due to its fragile balance,
it is organized around a shared sustainable development project based on the protection and enhancement of its heritage.
A Regional Natural Park is a living and dynamic territory. Its mission is to protect and enhance the natural, cultural, and human heritage of its territory by implementing an innovative policy of planning and economic, social, and cultural development that respects the environment.

This unspoiled area is distinguished by its varied landscapes, including spectacular gorges, Mediterranean forests, vineyards, and rocky plateaus. Rich in biodiversity, the park is a refuge for numerous animal and plant species. It is also marked by a remarkable historical heritage, with Cathar castles perched on the ridges, witnesses to medieval conflicts.
At the heart of this fascinating territory lies our town of Rennes-le-Château, perched on a hill offering breathtaking views of the Aude Valley and the park’s landscapes.
